Maui Director Wanted

This position functions as the Project Director for the Maui componenet of the Rural Development Project.  This is a full-time, temporary, federally funded position through the University of Hawaii's Maui Community College.

Duties include:

The responsibilities include implementing all aspects of this project such as developing and evaluating project initiatives and working with the Maui Advisory Committee to establish approved programs.  The Maui Director oversees administration of the Maui RDP, including procurement and travel completion paperwork through the RCUH and FMIS systems, as well as client and project tracking through the Huinet system.

Skills required include:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in the field of Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Public Adminstration, Business Adminstration, or related field; and three years of related professional work experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating projects and grant applications.  Thorough knowledge of the methods, materials, procedures, and techniques utilized in the development of educational support programs including project support related to training and computer networking.  Ability to administer and coordinate programs and supervise professionals, paraprofessionals, and clerical subordinates. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with the general public, faculty, University, State, and Federal officials.  Skill in developig and administering World Wide Web Sites, intranets, wide area and local area computer networks to support project efforts.

Pay rate for this UH P09 position is $3277 per month.  40 hours per week.
